Overview
This active Historical Super Valley & Machu Picchu tour gives you the best opportunity to experience and explore the new Seven Wonders of the World and the Incan culture in South America, while we take care of your every requirement and work on each single details. This tour combines adventure with cultural exploration, taking you off the beaten track with visits to the oldest ruins which are located along of sacred valley it is surrounded by stunning mountains, picturesque views and traditional craft markets. In addition to that, you will enjoy your tour taking your time and covering a good amount of ground each day. Expect from one to three hours walking on some touring days. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps and significant slopes. A few early wake-ups, some at 6 or 7 A.M. The altitude of 11,000 feet in Cuzco, 8,900 feet in Sacred Valley, may be a consideration for those who have heart conditions or are otherwise affected by height. We suggest you check with your health-care provider before signing up for this tour.
Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival In Lima Airport. Transfer To Hotel Included
Once you arrive to the Lima airport, you will meet our Inca Vision Tours representative for a transfer to your confirmed Lima hotel. If arriving early, you can also take in scenic “Parque Del Amor” (Love Park) in Miraflores for views of Lima’s gorgeous coastline. If you arrive to Lima in the early afternoon, one of our representatives will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in the scenic waterfront district of Miraflores.
Day 2: Fly To Cuzco. Relax And Explore
Upon arrival at the Cuzco airport, meet our Inca Vision Tours representative for a transfer to your hotel in Cuzco. Remember, flying from Lima to Cuzco you will have gone from sea level to the heady heights of 11,500 feet, but take heart, because you will have a chance to acclimatize on your first day in Cuzco City.
If you’re up for a bit of exploring, the city center is pedestrian-friendly and full of fascinating sites, colors, museums, markets, Main Square and people. We’re happy to recommend the city’s best options for delicious dining and exciting shopping. Remember to take it easy on your first day at altitude.
Day 3: Private Cuzco City Tour
Today is an exciting day to explore the heart of Cuzco city!!! You will begin your day with a private guided tour of Cuzco’s most important sites. You will start with a visit to the Cuzco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Later, you will see the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay (temple of water), and Sacred Alters on the Bed Rock formations. Then you will spend the afternoon at your leisure. You can shop with locals at San Pedro Market, wander on the streets of 12 angles (stonework) or bohemian San Blas.
Day 4: Private Sacred Valley Tour. Train To Machu Picchu
By the morning, after your big breakfast, you will meet your guide for a trip to the Sacred Valley. Along the Valley, you will see stunning farmland of cornfield and the Urubamba River. Your private tour continue with the short visit to an Alpaca and Llama zoo, then head to an Inca cemetery at the ruins of Pisac, followed by the monolithic fortress ruins and village of Ollantaytambo. When you finish your tour, around 7 P.M, catch the train to Aguas Calientes, base town for Machu Picchu where you will stay in a comfortable stated hotel.
Important Note: Sometimes train tickets sell out quickly and we must take an alternative train, the Vistadome train at 3:36 p.m. If this is the case, we will have to start this tour instead, at 7 A.M. from your hotel.
Day 5: Private Machu Picchu Tour. Return To Cuzco/ Sacred Valley
Day 5 will be one of the more remarkable and busy day, because you will visit one of the 7 new wonders of the world and thus you will need to wake up early and will go up to Machu Picchu sanctuary with your guide by bus and you will have a memorable walking tour through the “Lost City of the Incas”. Let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Finish up with last photos and then return to Aguas Calientes town for the return trip to Cuzco/ Sacred Valley.
Upgrade options: Climb Huayna Picchu/ Machu Picchu Mountain for views over the ruins.
Day 6: Private Maras-Moray Tour & Chinchero Market. Return To Cuzco
After your delish breakfast, you will meet your guide for a tour in Sacred Valley (Maras and Moray and Chinchero). First you explore the multi-hued salt pans of Maras. The huge salt mines have been in use since the pre-colonial times. Once you are done with Maras, you will visit the concentric circle terraces of Moray which descend nearly 500 feet (150 meters) into the earth. This is where the different micro-climates of the region were researched, then visit Chinchero, the traditional handy craft market, later we return to Hotel in Cuzco arriving at 18:00 hrs approx.
Day 7: Return To Lima Or Continue Your Journey.
After enjoying your final breakfast at your Cuzco hotel, one of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the Cuzco airport to begin your journey back home. (Optional recommended excursion) – Depending on the time of your international flight, you can take the opportunity to squeeze in a private tour of Lima’s key sites. Please ask our travel advisors.
