This 5-day Machu Picchu express tour gives you the best opportunity to experience and explore the new Seven Wonders of the World and the Incan culture in South America, while we take care of your every requirement and work on each single details. This tour combines adventure with cultural exploration, taking you off the beaten track with visits to the oldest ruins which are located along of sacred valley it is surrounded by stunning mountains, and picturesque view. You’ll be very safe staying at comfortable hotels and feels like at home and you won’t be affected by altitude sickness, since we will avoid your first night stay in Cusco (11,600 feet above sea level). We will take you straight to sacred valley (9,000 feet above sea level) and the next day to Machu Picchu by Train (7,000 feet) to soaking up centuries of full history and culture.
Itinerary Machu Picchu Express 5 Days
Day 1: Arrival In Cusco Airport – Transfer To Hotel In Sacred Valley
Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, meet our Inca Vision representative for a transfer to your hotel in Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo). If arriving early, you will have time to stop in several lookout spot to sight and appreciate the most important sites through the sacred valley while you will be guided with the short visit to an Alpaca and Llama zoo. After your check-in you will have enough time to take acclimatization and relax in your hotel and be prepared for Machu Picchu day.
Day 2: Private Machu Picchu Tour – Overnight In Ollantaytambo
By the morning after your breakfast, meet your expert guide for a transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station. During your journey to Machu Picchu by train, you will get to see impressive landscapes, Andean towns, snow-cap Mountains and valleys, coming down towards the jungle and the banks of the Urubamba River. Once you arrive to Aguas Calientes town, you will be taken by public bus to Machu Picchu Inca site. Following, you will have memorable walking Tour through the “Lost city of the Incas” Machu Picchu and let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds to make in true one of your bucket list. Finishing with last photos and right after return to Aguas Calientes to have lunch, in the afternoon you have chance to go to hot spring to relax. And finally back to Ollantaytmbo town by train.
Day 3: Maras – Moray Tour & Chinchero Market from Ollantaytambo
After enjoying your breakfast at your hotel in Ollantaytambo you will be picked up by your guide from your hotel for a tour in Sacred Valley (Maras and Moray). First you explore the multi-hued salt pans of Maras. The huge salt mines have been in use since the pre-colonial times. Once you are done with Maras/salt-mine, you will visit the concentric circle terraces of Moray which descend nearly 500 feet (150 meters) into the earth. This is where the different micro-climates of the region were researched, then visit Chinchero, the traditional handy craft market, later we return to Hotel in Cusco arriving at 18:00 hrs approx.
Day 4: Private Cusco City Tour Half-Day
Today is an exciting day to explore the heart of Cusco city!!! You will begin your day with a private guided tour of Cusco’s most important sites. You will start with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Later, you will see the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay (temple of water), and Sacred Altars on the Bed Rock formations. Then you will spend the afternoon at your leisure. You can shop with locals at San Pedro Market or wander on the streets of bohemian 12 angles.
Day 5: Fly From Cusco To Lima
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima. (Optional recommended excursion) – Depending on the time of your international flight, you can take the opportunity to squeeze in a private tour of Lima’s key sites. Please ask our travel advisors.

After that, you can pay the remaining balance either online or in person at our office in Cusco. Moreover, you can make the deposit via We Travel, Western Union, or MoneyGram. In addition, if you rent camping and hiking gear, upgrade tours, or receive a discount on the total price, our sales team will email you the updated remaining balance, which, in turn, you will pay at our Cusco office.

To qualify for the student discount, one must be 25 years old or less at the time of entering Machu Picchu and you must submit a valid university ID with your booking. The ID must include your name, photo, and expiration date. Cards without an expiration date will not be accepted. Please bring the original student ID with you on the tour to pass the checkpoint.

Huayna Picchu Mountain: $65 USD per person (2-hour round-trip climb).
Machu Picchu Mountain: $65 USD per person (3-hour round-trip climb).
Note: You can only hike one of these mountains, and it must be done after the guided tour of Machu Picchu due to time limitations.
Vistadome Train (one way): $40 USD per person.
Huayna Picchu | Machu Picchu Mountain
Huayna Picchu, the mountain overlooking Machu Picchu, is a 45-minute hike to the top, located next to the Machu Picchu Inca city. The descent can be steep, so it may not be suitable for those afraid of heights. This hike can be done after your Machu Picchu tour.
Machu Picchu Mountain requires a 3-hour round-trip hike. Due to its popularity, reservations should be made at least one month in advance. Please note that weather conditions are beyond our control.
Hotel: If you are doing overnight tours or treks that lead to Machu Picchu, you will be provided accommodation in a 3 star ★★★ hotel (Intipunku hotel or similar) in Aguas Calientes. For upgrades or cancellation, please enter your request in the special request box above. If you are booking a Peru Package Tour for 5 or more days, please contact our sales team.
Room Types: Matrimonial (1 bed for 2 people); Double (2 single beds), Single (1 bed for 1 person). If you wish to add extra beds, please specify in the special request box above.
Train: On our 5-day Machu Picchu Tour, a round-trip ticket on the Expeditions Train is included, offering comfort and scenic views.
