Overview
Discover “Machu Picchu & Titicaca floating islands” getting around Peru’s most picturesque landscapes such as: Lima, Cusco, Puno and more stunning attractions. This fantastic tour will start in Lima, followed by a flight to Cusco, where you will enjoy your historical tour in the heartland of the Incans. You will have the privilege of exploring every nook and cranny of the historical Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. And finally, enjoy your waterborne exploration of the world’s highest navigable lake in Puno. Stopping at the Uros Floating Islands and Taquile Island to see how indigenous people maintain their traditions in an extreme high altitude lake environment.
You will be staying at comfortable hotels that will make you feel at home. To minimize the effects of altitude sickness, your first night will be spent in Lima upon arrival to Peru. Once you get used to the altitude, you will be ready to visit Cuzco, (located at 11,600 feet), and Machu Picchu by Train (7,000 feet).

Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival In Lima Airport. Transfer To Hotel Included
Once you arrive to the Lima airport, you will meet our Inca Vision Tours representative for a transfer to your confirmed Lima hotel. If arriving early, you can also take in scenic “Parque Del Amor” (Love Park) in Miraflores for views of Lima’s gorgeous coastline. If you arrive to Lima in the early afternoon, one of our representatives will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in the scenic waterfront district of Miraflores.
Day 2: Fly To Cuzco. Relax And Getting Around
Upon arrival at the Cuzco airport, meet our Inca Vision Tours representative for a transfer to your hotel in Cuzco. Remember, flying from Lima to Cuzco you will have gone from sea level to the heady heights of 11,500 feet, but take heart, because you will have a chance to acclimatize on your first day in Cuzco City.
If you’re up for a bit of exploring, the city center is pedestrian-friendly and full of fascinating sites, colors, museums, markets, Main Square and people. We’re happy to recommend the city’s best options for delicious dining and exciting shopping. Remember to take it easy on your first day at altitude.
Day 3: Private Cuzco City Tour
Today is an exciting day to explore the heart of Cuzco city!!! You will begin your day with a private guided tour of Cuzco’s most important sites. You will start with a visit to the Cuzco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Later, you will see the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay (temple of water), and Sacred Alters on the Bed Rock formations. Then you will spend the afternoon at your leisure. You can shop with locals at San Pedro Market, wander on the streets of 12 angles (stonework) or bohemian San Blas.
Day 4: Private Sacred Valley Tour. Train To Machu Picchu
By the morning, after your big breakfast, you will meet your guide for a trip to the Sacred Valley. Along the Valley, you will see stunning farmland of cornfield and the Urubamba River. Your private tour continue with the short visit to an Alpaca and Llama zoo, then head to an Inca cemetery at the ruins of Pisac, followed by the monolithic fortress ruins and village of Ollantaytambo. When you finish your tour, around 7 P.M, catch the train to Aguas Calientes, base town for Machu Picchu where you will stay in a comfortable stated hotel.
Important Note: Sometimes train tickets sell out quickly and we must take an alternative train, the Vistadome train at 3:36 p.m. If this is the case, we will have to start this tour instead, at 7 A.M. from your hotel.
Day 5: Private Machu Picchu Tour. Return To Cuzco
Day 5 will be one of the more remarkable and busy day, because you will visit one of the 7 new wonders of the world and thus you will need to wake up early and will go up to Machu Picchu sanctuary with your guide by bus and you will have a memorable walking tour through the “Lost City of the Incas”. Let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Finish up with last photos and then return to Aguas Calientes town for the return trip to Cuzco.
Upgrade options: Climb Huayna Picchu/ Machu Picchu Mountain for views over the ruins.
Day 6: Journey From Cuzco To Puno
After your delicious breakfast, early in the morning, you will go to Puno city by bus. The comfortable, first-class bus will make stops in different traditional towns with full of history, such as Pucara, Racchi and Andahuaylillas. Upon your arrival to Puno, one of our representatives will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel or accommodation in Puno city.
Upgrade option: Ride aboard the luxurious Andean Explorer train to Puno. Depending on the season, service is limited to 3-4 weekly departures.
Day 7: Lake Titicaca Tour (Floating Islands). Return To Puno
After breakfast, head out from the port of Puno to Uros & Taquile Islands by boat. Enjoy your excursion by first visiting Uros Islands, the most photographed attraction on Lake Titicaca. This beautiful place is steeped in tradition and culture. You will be able to sail on the famous ‘totora’ boats. Continue your journey by sailing on the ‘Mayor Lake’ that will take you to Taquile Island, a place known for its impressive textile art and for remaining very true to traditions up to this day. Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared fresh with local ingredients. After lunch, head down 533 stone steps to reach Taquile’s main port to take the boat back to Puno where you will spend the night.
Day 8: Return To Lima Or Continue Your Journey.
After enjoying your final breakfast at your Puno hotel, one of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the Juliaca airport to begin your journey back home. (Optional recommended excursion) – Depending on the time of your international flight, you can take the opportunity to squeeze in a private tour of Lima’s key sites. Please ask our travel advisors.
